Configure Google chrome to see Bangla properly

From the previous post, you may have learnt to configuring Mozilla Firefox for Bangla. Now you will also learn to configure Google Chrome to see the Bangla properly. Generally we all the Bengali computer users use Avro Keyboard bangla typing software to type bangla online.

When we read an article online written in Bengali language most often we see that the fonts are not in perfect shape, looking fuzzy. This happens because your browser is not configured properly for Bengali language. If so, then you need to configure it yourself.

Let's follow some easy steps given below to see the perfect shape of all Bengali fonts.

 Step 01  Check whether necessary font is installed or not
There should have installed the Bengali font SolaimanLipi and/or Siyam Rupali in your computer system before start to work. But, if there is installed Avro keyboard bangla typing software, then you needn't to think about the fonts. Because, they are already installed in your system with the software. Otherwise download SolainaLipi and/or Siyam Rupali from here.

 Step 02  Installing font in your computer system
Now locate the fonts you have downloaded and copy them. Then paste them to the directory- My Computer>Local Disk (C:)>WINDOWS>Fonts.

But if you are a user of the latest version of windows operating system, then right click on a font- you will get a pop-menu. Finally click on install to install the font to your computer system.

 Step 03  Find out Settings of the browser
In this step you need to click on Menu, after clicking- a drop-down menu will open. Now click on Settings from the menu as shown in the image below. Finally a new tab will open in the browser.

 Step 04  Click on Show advanced settings...
Now scroll down and find out Show advanced settings.... Then click on the text link, the advanced settings option will expand.

 Step 05  Click on Customize fonts...
Now go to the section Web content and click on the button Customize fonts... as shown in the image below.

 Step 06  Select Siyam Rupali or SolaimanLipi as the Sans-serif font
Now select Siyam Rupali or SolaimanLipi as the Sans-serif font and click on the Done button.

Now navigate to the tab where is something written in Bengali or open a new page to check the perfect shape of Bangla font.

N.B. You needn't to restart your chrome browser. Just navigate to other tab or open another new tab where is something written in Bengali.
