Free Up The Hard Disk

All of the Computer Users like to collect various types of Audio, Video and Images. But most of them don't keep it in right way. They collect the data from many sources. So most often they keep the same data in many folders. So the Hard Disk became full quickly. The Hard Disk must have 15% free space in every drive for it's safety and best performance. So we everybody should be careful during collecting the data so that we can avoid keeping same data. I have already written about a way to delete the same file/data by the help of a software named System Mechanic Pro. You may read that from here. Now I will describe here how to delete same files/data in windows 7 easily.

The HDD Drive Condition of my Computer System is shown above in the Picture 01. Now I will select a drive to find out the same file. You may also select the full HDD also. To select full HDD click on My Computer. Now go to the Rightmost Upper corner of the window and type anything to search. I have selected a drive where is only Audio Songs. So I have typed "tumi j" as I know there are many songs with this starting.

Now look at the Picture 03. I have already got two songs with same name. The last one and the fourth one are those. The file size is also showing here. Now I will hear the starting of these two songs to be sure that they are same. Then I will delete one of them.

You may also apply a trick to locate the same files one after another by sorting them with their name as I have shown here in the Picture 04.

I have also got another two songs with same name and same size. But unfortunately they both are not same. These two songs have been sung by two different Singers. So be careful to delete your files.
