Lets Learn the Usage of History Brush Tool and Design a Photo in Photoshop

 Step 01  Set the Foreground Color to Black
Open your image you want to edit. Set the foreground color to black(000000).

 Step 02  Select Rectangle Marquee Tool
Now click on the tool Rectangle Marquee Tool. You may select Rectangle Marquee Tool by simply pressing M button from your Keyboard. And press Ctrl+A from your Keyboard to select the full image you have opened to edit.

 Step 03  Cover the Image with Black Color n Select History Brush Tool
Now press Alt+Backspace keys to cover the photo with the foreground color. Now the image will be covered with Black Color (000000). Now press Y or select History Brush Tool manually as like as the image given below.

 Step 04  Set the Opacity to 25% and Flow to 40%
Now set the Opacity to 25% and Flow to 40%. Now press the button [ to decrease the size of the Brush or press the button ] to increase the size. Now click anywhere of the image. And look the black cover is vanishing in your every click. Thus you may make your image visible through the Black Screen.

 Step 05  See the Example
Look at the Image given below!!! I have edited like this. You may edit as like as you want. Now I will add some texts on this image and obviously in different form.


 Step 06  Type Your Text
Now click the Right Button of your Mouse keeping the pointer on the Text Tool. Then select the Horizontal Type Mask Tool and type your expected text. I am going to type Fairytips. But change the font to Impact before typing the text.


 Step 07  Re-size or Reset the Position of the Text
After typing the text now press down the Ctrl button and then you will get a box. Now you can re-size the text or you can change the position of the text by the box. Look at the image given below. I have done like this...


 Step 08  Click on the Move Tool
Now click on the Move Tool or press V from the Keyboard. Then the text will be like this...


 Step 09  Remove the Black Cover from the Text Area
Again click on the History Brush Tool and set the Opacity to 100% and Flow to 100%. Now click on the selected area and look the black cover is going away from the selected area and the main color of the image is showing through the text as like as the image given below.

 Step 10  Add a Layer Style
Now click Ctrl+C and then Ctrl+V. Then click on the button from the following pallet as like as the image.


 Step 11  Click on Outer Glow...
After clicking on the button you will get the following menu as like as the image and click on Outer Glow...


 Step 12  Configure Outer Glow
A new window like the image will open. So set the value as showing in the image. Otherwise change as you like.

Thus I have edited the image. And you have already seen the result at the beginning.
