Some computer users are confused about thumbs.db system file. Some people thinks that Thumbs.db is a Computer Virus! But it's not! It's a System File of windows operating system only and it's called thumbnails cache file. This system file is used to store the thumbnail images for Windows Explorer's Thumbnail View. However one may be free from thumbs.db file stopping create it. You just need to follow the easy steps given below to be free from thumbs.db. Your computer system will be free from thumbs.db forever and the system will never create thumbs.db file anymore. Lets follow the steps to make your Computer System free from thumbs.db!
Step 01 Let's find out the thumbs.db file
Double click on My Computer icon or press Ctrl+E keys together to open the Windows Explorer. Now click on Tools from the menu-bar. A drop-down menu will open. Now you have to click on Folder Options... then a pop-up window will open.

Step 02 Stop creating thumbs.db files
Now click on View tab and check the box where is written Do not cache thumbnails. Then click on Apply and finally click on OK.
Now your Computer System won't create any thumbs.db files. N.B. Basically thumbs.db file you will found in a computer system with Windows Xp operating system.
