There are many ways to speed up a computer system. Actually after running the computer system for a few days or week, there gather some unnecessary files and folder into the C Drive. That's why the computer system works slowly. If we delete those properly then the system will be more faster. Lets see how to do that.
#Delete the Temporary Files using %temp% Run Command
Press Windows Key+R to open the RUN Command Box. Then type %temp% into the RUN Command Box and press the Enter Key. You will get a new window with some files. Simply press Ctrl+A to select all of them and delete them by pressing the Delete Button from the Keyboard. Some times you may fail to delete all the files at a time! Try to delete them one by one. There may be one or two files you will fail to delete. Leave them if you fail to delete.
#Delete the Prefetch Files using the prefetch Run Command
Again press Windows Key+R to open the RUN Command Box and type Prefetch into the RUN Command Box. Then press the Enter Key or click on the OK Button. You will again get some files in a new window. Press Ctrl+A to select all at a time and delete them by pressing the Delete Button.
#Delete more Temporary Files using temp Command
Press Windows Key+R to open the RUN Command Box and type temp into the RUN Command Box. Then press the Enter Key or click on the OK Button. A window will open where you will found some temporary files once again. Select them all by pressing Ctrl+A and delete them pressing the Delete Button.
#Change Some Settings if you are a Windows Xp User
If you are a Windows Xp user then right click on the Desktop, go to Properties and then select the Themes Tab. Now select Windows Classic.
Again go to Desktop Tab, then go to Background and select None.
Finally go to Screensaver Tab and select None again.
#Change Some more Setting to Speed Up the Computer System
Right click on the My Computer Icon from the desktop or from the Start Menu, a pop-up menu will open. Now click on Properties and then click on Advanced Tab. Go to Performance Option and click on Settings Button. Then go to Visual Effect Tab and click on the Radio Button that says Adjust for best performance. Now scroll down the list, check Second Last and Third Last Check Boxes which say...
-Use common tasks in folder.
-Use drop shadows for icon for icon labels on the desktop.
NB. Except these two, all other check boxes must be Unchecked!
Now click on the OK Button and restart your Computer.
#Change Some Settings if you are a Windows Xp User
